Monday 9/10/12

1. Do Now:  How was the chapter 3 review?  Did you feel you understood the questions and material?  Would you have been ready to take an exam after doing the review?

2.  Notes on 4.2 and 4.3 given-  They were typed out in Cornell notes format and the assignment asks that students create questions about the material in the notes and write a summary for each section.

3.  Cover the notes on 4.3 Ecological Succession

4.  Watch short video on Ecological succession:  If you were absent you can log onto the online text book and under the explore button find the video to view in the Chapter 4 material in other resources.

5.  Bibliography work for Science Fair Due

Wednesday 9/12/12

1.  Do Now:  Using the notes given yesterday, name the three types of symbiotic relationships.

2.  Go over the information under 4.2 about niche and competition.  Students assigned to do the questions and summary for this side of the page.

3.  Lab activity on the 3 types of symbiosis:  Mutualism, Parasitism, Commensalism

4.  Make sure you are looking at your due dates for Science Fair!

Friday 9/14/12

1.  Do Now:  What is a biome?  Try to name as many biomes as you can.

2.  Biome Activity Handout:  Complete in class and anything not finished should be done as homework!

3.  Quiz on Monday:  So study this weekend!

4.  You better check the science fair due dates!  Look over the science fair resources on science buddies and here on the blog to understand how to write up the research portion of your paper.
