Language Arts- Fisher (Periods 1, 4, 5, and 6)

Last Posting for the year...

I just wanted you all to know that it's been a privilege being your Sophomore English teacher. I wish you the best of success in the years to come at King Kekaulike High School. Your Junior and Senior years will prove to be as challenging as all of your Ho'olokahi Kumu have said, but they will also be full of wonder and discovery. Avail yourselves of all your future teachers, the school, and your families have to offer. Before giving the last set of reminders for the year, I'd like to leave you with these words that are more powerful than anything I could come-up with...

(from Change, written by Shannon Hoon, performed by Blind Melon)

You've got to stand up

Take a look around you,
Then a look way up at the sky.
And when your deepest thoughts are broken
Keep on dreamin' boy,
Cause when you stop dreamin' it's time to die.
And as we all play parts of tomorrow
Some ways we'll work and some ways we'll play;
But, I know we can't all stay here forever,
So, I want to write my words on the face of today.

Write your words today. Prepare for your life tomorrow.
