Mossman- Biology (1,3,4&6 honors pd 5)

Please note that I had difficulty posting to the blog last week due to computer problems at school.  The post this week includes last weeks work too.  Please note the days in which each post is referencing.

This week 9/20-9/25
Monday 9/20/10

  1. Do Now:  What is a biome and what makes certain ecosystems be classified in a particular biome?
  2. Cornell Notes on 4.4 Biomes and 4.5 aquatic Biomes along with end of chapter 4 section reviews.  Due Tuesday and Wednesday.
  3. Don't forget that Worksheets 4.2 and 4.3 must be done on Tuesday/Wednesday too!


Tuesday 9/21/10

  1.  Do Now
  2. Check 4.2, 4.3 and Cornell notes.  Correct Work 
  3. Continue work on Landscape Design Lab
  4. Progress reports handed out!  Make sure to take care of anything outstanding by 9/30.  No more make up work will be accepted after that date.

Wednesday 9/22/10 

  1. Do Now
  2. Check 4.2, 4.3 and Cornell Notes.
  3.  Read section 5.1 and 5.2 in text.  Complete worksheets on 5.1, 5.2 and Kaibab Deer. Due Monday 9/28/10
  4. Ecology Unit Exam on 9/29 and 9/30!

Thursday 9/23/10

  2. Read section 5.1 and 5.2 in text.  Complete worksheets on 5.1, 5.2 and Kaibab Deer. Due Monday 9/28/10

Friday 9/24/10

  2. Check 4.2, 4.3 and Cornell notes.  Correct Work

1.  Do Now:  Organize all your Chapter 3 papers according to the order on the purple learning log.  Turn them in so your grades can be recorded.

1.  Do Now
2.  New Learning Log for Chapter 4 and 5 materials Color:  Goldenrod
3.  Introduction to Succession Video Clip
4.  Cornell Notes Provided along with worksheets 4.2 and 4.3 

Thursday 9/16 and Friday 9/17
1.  Do now
2.  Introduction to Landscape Lab.  Lab handouts given, data collection occurred.  Will finish up next week and after spring break.
